Robert spent infancy through adolescence in Arkansas before moving to Oklahoma. On November 2, 1957, Robert married the beautiful Patricia Sue Davis in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Robert and Patricia have been married over Sixty-one years. Patricia was his true love and best friend from the moment they met.  Through the worst and best in their marriage they were loyal and had a strong trust in one another.  Robert became a beloved father to Johnny Vincent (1958), James Robert (1960) and Sherri Lea Wallace (1967).  Many of his hobbies he grew to enjoy were created out of his interest and love for his children. Robert started working for Hope Lumber Company during his teen years.  He later moved to Oklahoma Fixtures Company which included detailed designs. Some of his beautiful work can still be seen at the Bank of Oklahoma and the Williams Center in Tulsa.  During his retirement years he created his own small business, Wallace Fixtures.  He worked closely with his son, Johnny.

Robert was a talented musician including guitar and piano.  It is noted that Robert had a special talent for being able play any instrument he touched.  He recorded in Nashville and played guitar for Don Williams, J.J. Cale, Speedy West and Leon Loy. Music was a big part of his life.

Robert was in the Air Force, a member of the Scottish Rite, a 32° Mason and a member of the Skiatook Masonic Lodge.  Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Many great friendships were bonded through his love of these sports. Robert coached his son’s baseball and football teams as they grew up.  He was also closely involved in coaching Johnny and Jamie in boxing.  He encouraged and loved watching Sherri flourish in her academic endeavors.  He shared her love Egypt, photography and art.

As a Grandfather and Great Grandfather of five beautiful girls he loved watching them grow, helping them color Easter Eggs, giving endless four-wheeler rides.  He always kept up and followed their lives closely.  In his last days his Granddaughter Rachell helped to care for her Pa Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Wallace of Skiatook; sons, Johnny Wallace and wife, Jamie of Skiatook, and James Wallace of Skiatook; daughter, Sherri (Wallace) Fernandez and husband, Dr. Fernanado Fernandez, M.D. of Claremore; grandchildren, Rachell (Wallace) Auten and husband, Tandy, Victoria Fernandez, and Katyrina Fernandez; great-grandchildren, Madison Auten and Journee Auten; brother-in-law, Rev. George T. Shell of Tulsa; numerous nieces and nephews; longtime special neighbors, Jim and Maria Cox, and their children, Rachel and Matthew. Maria helped Robert through his illness, and spent countless hours loving and caring for him. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude Wallace, and GT Wallace; sisters, Maudie (Wallace) Hutton, Betty (Wallace) Waldrop, and Nancy (Wallace) Shell; parents, Harry and Effie Wallace; and lifelong friend, Richard Houston.

There has been such an outpouring of love and support directed to the Wallace family during Roberts illness and passing.  Thank you all so much for your kind contribution to our sweet Dad’s life and passing.
