Nellie Alice Prestridge

Memorial services for Nellie Alice (Sisk) Prestridge, 88, of Skiatook, OK, were held Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Sperry Christian Church in Sperry, OK. Pastor Adam Stang officiated.

Nellie was born May 20, 1936 in Sperry, OK to George William “Bill” and Esther Monita (Eddingfield) Sisk. She passed away August 7, 2020 in Skiatook, OK.

Nellie graduated from Sperry Schools in 1954 and married Elbert Prestridge of Skiatook, whom she met while in high school. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family and her home. Nellie was an avid reader and an excellent cook. She was a seamstress for some time and worked for Saint Francis Hospital as a nurse aide. She was a member of and attended Sperry Christian Church. Nellie was a fun, kind and patient person and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Elbert Prestridge of Skiatook; children, Lee Ann Smith, Dale Prestridge, Laura Downs, Claude Prestridge, David Prestridge and Neoma Conley; 27 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, G.W. “Bill” and Esther Sisk; brothers, Johnny Sisk, Marion Sisk, and Baby Boy Sisk; and sisters, Peggy Sisk and Neoma Sisk.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
