Kathleen W. Jones

Graveside services for Kathleen W. (Dobbs) Jones, 95, of Sand Springs, OK, were held Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Reverend Dan Switzer officiated. Casket bearers were Jason Switzer, Jeremy Switzer, Ryan Jones, Eric Jones, Doyle Thulin and Steve Jones. Honorary Casket bearers were Bill Jones and Frank Jones.

Kathleen was born April 27, 1925 in Barnsdall, OK to Otto Elda and Florence Delpha (Halford) Dobbs. She passed away August 21, 2020 in Sapulpa, OK.

Kathleen was a Member of New Life Tabernacle in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. A wife and homemaker for her husband John C. Jones and three children, Ron (Bunk) Cliff (Spike), and Janice. She was cook for the Oklahoma United Pentecost Church Youth Camp and Camp meeting for many years.  She was also a cook for Tulsa Public Schools.  After her husband’s retirement, they went to Gateway College in St Louis, Missouri to work as head cook and maintenance manager.  John C and Kathleen pastored the United Pentecostal Church in Salina, Oklahoma for several years.

She is survived by her son, Ron Jones and wife, Pamela of Muskogee; daughter, Janice Switzer and husband, Reverend Dan Switzer of Sand Springs; grandchildren; Eric Jones and wife, Shelly of Piedmont; Ryan Jones of Norman, Jeremy Switzer and wife, Christi of Sand Springs, and Jason Switzer and wife, Crystal of Sapulpa; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Davis of Midwest City; and a multitude of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Jones; son, Cliff Jones; grandson, Tracey Jones; brother, Wayne Dobbs; sister, Norma Helwick; father, Otto Dobbs; and mother, Florence (Halford) Dobbs.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
