Joseph Michael Steger

Memorial services for Joseph Michael “Joey” Steger, 45, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated.

Joey was born July 11, 1974 in Philadelphia, PA, to Christina Lee Catherine Steger. He passed away December 15, 2019 in Tulsa, OK.

Joey was a loving person. He loved his family. But his daughter, Ailena was always his favorite person. Joey was funny and loved to make people laugh. No one could ever stay upset with him because his sharp wit and jokes would always get him out of trouble. Joey loved swimming, cooking out, and hanging with family and friends but especially his number one girl, Ailena. He was easy to smile and laugh. Joey was kind and would do anything for his family or friends. It never mattered how big or small the request was from someone; Joey would be the first person there with a smile on his face. He genuinely cared for his family and friends and never blinked an eye to help anyone out. Joey never met a stranger. His fun-loving personality had him making friends anywhere he went.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Melinda Steger; beautiful daughter, Ailena Steger; sister, Barbara Torres; sister-in-law, Jenny Green; father-in-law, Tim Green; brothers-in-law, Edward Young and fiancée Ashley Chevalier and Daniel Green and wife, Tammy; aunt, Dee Young and husband, Robert; his “adopted” aunt and uncle, Polly and Ed Young; five wonderful nieces, Amanda, Brittany, Kaylee and Kristina; his wonderful nephew, Dale; best friend, Brandon, who has always supported Joey and could very well have been his favorite person next to his wife and daughter; and many other relatives and friends Joey thought of as family. Joey was loved beyond measure and will be missed by everyone that loved him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Florence Steger; brother-in-law, Jeremy Young; and mother-in-law, Connie Green.
