Graveside services for Jimmy Lee Tackett, 65, of Sperry, OK were held Monday, May 18, 2020 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Pastor Adam Stang officiated. Casket bearers were Brian Tackett, Curtis Tackett, Marcus Tackett, Nathan Tackett, Jonathan Tackett, Tommy Tackett, Matthew Tackett, and Jason Tackett. Honorary Casket bearers were Nick Tackett, Daxton Tackett, Dylan Tackett, Chandler Conner, and Drake Tackett.

Jimmy was born October 24, 1954 in Tulsa, OK to Jewell Richard and Etta Bernice Tackett. He passed away May 13, 2020 in Sperry, OK.

Jimmy was a lineman for GTE Telephone Co. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and music. Jimmy was an expert at mastering the Honey-Do lists. Jimmy was also a singer and songwriter, and played anything with strings, and drums. He especially loved Willie Nelson music and would perform as a Willie Nelson impersonator.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Tackett; son, Doug Tackett and wife, Staci; daughter, Kacey Tackett; stepdaughter, Casie Bryant and husband, Dustin; grandchildren, Cheradan, Dylan, Drake, Daxton, Chandler, Brynna and Avery; brothers, Jerry Tackett and wife, Kim, Harold Tackett and wife, Anne, Richard Tackett and wife, Jeanne, Steve Tackett and wife, Angie and Chris Tackett and wife, Sandy; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Etta Tackett, and sister, Dorothy Ann Tackett.
