James Kevin Green

James Kevin Green, 57, of Sapulpa was born November 8, 1963 in Tulsa, OK, to Carthel Raymond and Martha Louise (Moore) Girdner. He passed away April 21, 2021 in Tulsa, OK.

James attended Sperry Schools, playing many sports. He graduated in 1982 with a degree from Tulsa Vo Tech in Auto Mechanics. He was a very smart and skilled craftsman in many fields and was highly creative with those skills. He could make art out of junk, and draw unique pictures, of which his daughter was most fond of. James worked with C&C Carpet and Tile for many years mastering carpet laying where he used his talents to inlay designs with the carpet. He was also a skilled mason along with his father and brothers. Many homes have his signature design brickwork on them. James had a love of automobiles not just for the looks but what was under the hood. He could detect the issue with a motor in record time and was known to tear down and rebuild a motor in 24 hours on his back porch, then put it back in the truck and take it for a drive with no issues. James later received his A&P license from Spartan Aeronautics, using his skills in the NDT fields. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors. He liked watching movies. He and his daughter, Alescia had many fun times watching Jim Carey movies together and then laughing with each other imitating them.  They spent good times together in Colorado enjoying the beauty of Telluride and the surrounding areas. James was a fast thinker and fast talker, as anyone that knew him could attest to. James spent most his life being a lone wolf, struggling through many hardships, but he was a fighter and didn’t give up. He became ill with endocarditis which in turn put him in the hospital. He suffered a severe stroke but persevered to communicate as best possible with his daughter via face time for 12 days until his body couldn’t hold on any further. At 57 he earned his wings & went to be with the Lord and his family will be forever missed & loved by his daughter, and those that truly knew him.

James is survived by his daughter, Alescia Nichole Green of San Antonio, Texas, and her mother Debra Kingsley Hodge, a dear friend through life; sister, Debbie Boyd & husband mike Boyd of Cortez, CO; brothers, Rickey Girdner, and Brian Girdner; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Louise & Carthel Girdner, his grandmother Emma Moore, aunt Barb & uncle Rocky Moore; aunt Barbara & Uncle Fred Moore; and cousin, Monty Moore.
