Funeral services for Delores Jean “Nannie” (Hisaw) Miller, 89, of Sperry, OK, were held Monday, July 19, 2021, at Community of Christ Church in Sperry, OK. Phyllis Gaddy and David Jobe officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Chris Miller, Ben Miller, Josh Miller, Greg Reed, Colton Miller and Zach Reed. Honorary Casket bearers were Wes McFarland, Ross Miller, BJ Delk, Jimmy Miller, Cherokee Miller, John Reed, Floyd Barnes, Dana McBride, Connie Bias, BJ McBride, and Buryl Hughes.

Jean was born October 27, 1931, in Skiatook, OK to Jessie Price and Emma Esther (Lovitt) Hisaw. She passed away July 13, 2021, in Tulsa, OK.

Jean attended Sperry Schools and graduated in 1950 and was a Valedictorian of her graduating class. She played basketball for Sperry and was also a member of the Sperry Chapter of the National Honor Society from 1946-1948. Jean married Lloyd Lee Miller, Sr. on May 20, 1950. She later attended Tulsa Junior College, making the President’s Honor Roll in the Fall of 1988. Jean was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Sperry and was baptized on February 13, 1955. Jean was an Administrative Assistant for Foland Insurance Group, and for Osage County District 2 for 8 years, from which she retired in 1993. She was a member of the County Officers and Deputies Association from 1987-1988 and was also a member of the Silver Sandites Senior Citizens group. Jean enjoyed painting and genealogy research and loved going to lunch with her “Lunch Bunch”, Betty Prentice and Opal Hayman. Jean was known for her famous pies; they were simply amazing and one of the absolute best around.

She is survived by her son, Ross Miller of Sperry; grandchildren, Chris Miller and wife Kim, Josh Miller and wife Melinda, Mallie Delk and husband B.J., Melissa Reed and husband John, Ben Miller, Shelly Moreira and husband Johnny, Jeff Long and wife Misty, and Cherokee Miller; great-grandchildren, Colton Miller and fiancée Kate Faught, Bailey Reed and fiancé Chris Parker, Rylee Miller, Taylor Miller, Zach Reed, Greg Reed, Hannah Miller, Hailey Miller, Harlie Miller, Brynlie Delk, Jena Delk, Macie Delk, Chloe Miller, Grace Moreira, Faith Moreira, Ashley Long, Amber Long, and Alyssa Long; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces, Connie Bias and Dana McBride; as well as extended family, Wes McFarland and wife, Jean; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Miller, Sr.; son, Lloyd Miller, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Donna (Lon) Miller; parents, Jessie and Emma Hisaw; sisters, Neta Hughes, Helen Lookingtall; brother, Price “Jessie” Hisaw, Jr.; great-niece, Lesa (Miller) Byrd; and their boston terrier, Buster.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
