Memorial services for Anita Ethyl Mount, 78, of Collinsville, OK, were held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Ray Crawford, Grady Gaylord and Dale Marlar officiated, and burial was in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Honorary Casket Bearers were all of Anita’s nieces and nephews.

Anita was born June 19, 1942 in Collinsville, OK to David Franklin and Muriel Ellen (Oaks) Mount. She passed away July 17, 2020 in Claremore, OK.

Anita loved to go bowling, working on puzzles, and enjoyed listening to music. Elvis Presley and George Strait were her favorite singers. Anita also loved watching old westerns, especially those with John Wayne in them. She was a fan of Drew Carey, and the Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune shows. Anita enjoyed fried chicken and hamburgers. She also enjoyed going to church and Special Olympics events. Anita loved her church family and Brother Ray. Anita lived at Home for Hope in Claremore and was a member of the People First Organization. She enjoyed her job at the thrift store in Claremore very much and spending time with her friends. She loved people and all of the ladies at her home. Anita loved her family and enjoyed being home for the holidays, spending time with Wendell and Frankie and the rest of the family.

She is survived by her brother, Wendell Mount and wife, Frankie of Hominy; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Emogene Linden, Norma Johnson-Whiteside, Barbara Taylor, and Sherrill Hearn; niece, Shona Echols; nephew, Brian May; and parents, David and Muriel Mount.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
