Winter Jade Nastasha "Winnie" Lawshe

Funeral services for Winter Jade Nastasha “Winnie” Lawshe , 2 mos. of Sperry, OK, were held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Owasso, OK. Pastor Chris Wall officiated, with the eulogy read by Bishop Paul Weatherly, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Weldon Lawshe, Caleb McLain, Randal Clanin, Cayden Carr, Andrew McLain, and Rebekah McLain. Honorary Casket bearers were Brian Clanin, Lizzy McLain, Scarlett McLain, Noah McLain, Meshach Batson and Eugene Foster.

Winter was born January 10, 2024, in Tulsa, OK, to Weldon Aubry Lawshe and Abbigail RuthAnn "Abby" (McLain) Lawshe.

Her parents, however, had been loving her ever since the thought of having a baby crossed their minds. They had difficulty conceiving, and there were many prayers and tears shed in trying to have this precious baby. Because of this, every moment of Abby's pregnancy was cherished. She did not hesitate to show off her adorable belly and have anyone touch her tummy to feel her little bundle of joy kicking.

Winter passed away in her sleep the morning of April 3, 2024, breaking the hearts of many, but giving the great gift of herself to heaven. We know that our beautiful baby girl is resting in the presence of Jesus. Winter's life and death has reminded us of the biblical Samuel as we prayed so hard to have her, we only had her for a short time before we had to give her back to God, and it has restored order, faith, and a yearning for heaven like Samuel did in the house of The Lord.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7 NIV‬

Once little Winnie was here, her parents continued in loving and adoring their beautiful baby. They also continued in allowing everyone to love their little “Honey Pot” and let her love them back. Winnie spent lots of time cuddling with Mama being told she was so pretty and smiling about it, watching Daddy play video games while she snuggled him, hanging out with Nana Banana while Nana doted on her and got her to smile and coo or sang "Winter Wonderland" to her, having PopPop walk the floors with her all the while falling in love with her tender heart, being held and told she's beautiful by Uncle Caleb, cuddling with Auntie Lizzy being told she was giving her baby fever, getting picked up by Uncle Cayden when she made so much as a whimper, being held by Auntie Scarlett putting the biggest smile on Auntie's face, becoming best friends with Uncle Noah teaching him how to be a gentleman as he would ever so carefully pet her head and hold her hand, being held and talked to so sweetly by her Great Papa Wapa the way that only he has with babies, having Great Nanny Wanny cuddle her for hours and secretly tell her she was going to be her favorite, having Auntie Brittany take such good care of her so her mommy and daddy could spend a little bit of time together, having her Nanny Clanin make trips all the way across town just to spend time with and hold her, and being soothed by her favorite pacifier "Mr. Penguin" that family friend, Kelsi Carr gave her. Winnie had such a sweet, beautiful, timid, authentic, loving presence about her that could melt anyone's heart.
