William Eldon Miller

William Eldon "Bill" Miller was born on January 3, 1929, in Collinsville, OK, to Clifton "Curly" Miller and Nina (Wagner) Miller. On April 30, 2026, he passed from the world and entered into his eternal Heavenly home.

Bill received his education in the Ramona Schools system. As a young boy, he farmed with his father; he spent many hours behind a plow and a team of mules working the fields. He also broke horses and was a true cowboy. Bill hired on to the Jarboe Cattle Company out of Tulsa. He rode and worked on the last cattle drive from the 101 Ranch located in the Indian Territory of Oklahoma, southwest of present-day Ponca City to Fort Leonard Wood, MO. When he was 21 years of age, Bill gave his life to the Lord and served the Lord from then until his last breath. Bill was a member of the Frist Baptist Church of Ramona, where he spent many years as a Sunday School teacher and a loving friend to many. He was always ready and willing to help anyone that was in need of a helping hand; he gave with a cheerful heart never asking for anything in return. He married Ida Sawyers. They had two daughters and two sons - Ruby, Wilma, Clifton (Sonny), and Billy. He worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company, Rockwell International, and retired from Boeing Aircraft Company. Upon retirement, he spent his time farming with his son, Clifton (Sonny).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curly and Nina Miller; wife, Ida; son, Billy; and his three brothers, Louis, Clyde, and Cleatus (Pete); and one grandson, Clinton Collier.

He is survived by his companion, Ruby Hockett of Collinsville; daughter, Ruby Collier and husband, Phillip of Meeker; daughter, Wilma Burton of Bartlesville; son, Sonny Miller and wife, Lois of Ramona; 5 grandchildren, Joe Miller, Billy Miller, Bonnie (Miller) Fifer, Amanda (Burton) Burr, and Michael Collier; 8 great-grandchildren, Cody Miller, Korey Miller, Jennifer (Fifer) Stumpff, Jasmine Fifer, Jett Fifer, Michiah Collier, Shane Collier, and Ryder Collier; 5 great-great-grandchildren, Hayden Miller, Xia Miller, Lucas Stumpff, Lenora Stumpff, and Lincoln Stumpff; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was truly loved by many and will be missed by many.
