Funeral services for Wanda Lou (Stout) Thompson, 90, of Collinsville, OK, were held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend David Bilby officiated and burial was in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK.
Wanda was born on January 15, 1935, in Vera, OK to Shirley Faye Stout and Millie Agnes (McMillian) Stout. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 11, 2026.
She grew up in northeastern Oklahoma alongside her siblings, Lee and Barbara. Wanda remained closely connected to her family and community throughout her life. She married Kenneth Harlan “Ken” Thompson, and together they built a life centered on family. Ken preceded her in death on July 29, 2015. Wanda was an amazing and devoted grandmother who cared deeply for all her grandchildren. She took great pride in their lives and accomplishments and cherished the time she spent with them. Throughout her life, Wanda had a passion for dancing, and she loved sharing that joy with her family, creating many cherished memories on the dance floor. Her love, guidance, and warmth will remain a lasting part of their lives. Wanda will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, and the lasting memories she leaves with those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Amey; her grandchildren, Thomas Mangiamele and wife, Yeanne, Christine Mangiamele, and Valerie Mangiamele; as well as Daryl and Misty Cole and Michael Cole; along with many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember her with love.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Millie Stout; brother, Lee Ray Stout; sister, Barbara Jean Hersey; and grandchild, Bradley Cole.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
