Celebration of Life services for Virginia Louise (James) Duncan-Shearhart, 82, of Ramona, were held Friday, July 1, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Owasso, OK. Pastor Chad Balthrop officiated and burial was in Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Casket bearers were James Williamson, Randall Williamson, Jack Pettigrew, Matthew Williamson, Cory Williamson and Brendan Williamson.

Virginia was born November 26, 1933 in Durant, OK to Herbert Marion and Velma Christine (James) James. She passed away June 28, 2016 in Ramona, OK.

Her younger years were spent in Durant, Cardin, and Salina, OK. Virginia gave her life to Jesus in 1941 at the Maybelle Baptist Church in Durant with her Father preaching the service.
In 1944, the family moved to Sperry, OK where Virginia attended Jr. High and High School. She was honored with being the Football Queen in 1951 and graduated in 1952. She also held the position as the song leader at the Sperry First Baptist Church where her father ministered in the 1940’s – 1950’s. On May 20th, 1952 she married William (Billy) Loudon Duncan in Sperry, OK. They made their home in Skiatook, OK. They had three daughters, Dayna Luan, Billye Lynn, and Gayla Jo. They also owned and operated Kerr McGee Gas Station in Skiatook, OK in the 1960’s. Billy passed away on July 3rd, 1978. On May 12th, 1979, she married Kenneth Moon and they made their home in Owasso, OK. Ken passed away on August 8th, 1980. On September 1st, 2000, she married Leon Shearhart and they made their home in Owasso, OK. Leon passed away on May 20th, 2008. Virginia had a diverse work life. During her lifetime, she worked at Dun & Bradstreet, Southwestern Bell, PepsiCo, Mary Kay Consultant; Therma Technology and ended her career as Human Resource Director for Fintube Technologies. Virginia had her Associates Degree in Personnel Relations. She loved her family and was devoted to serving her Savior, Jesus Christ. During her lifetime, she was active in the Sperry Baptist Church, Immanuel Baptist and First Baptist in Skiatook and then at the Owasso First Baptist Church. Virginia’s father, H.M. James was one of the original ministers responsible for starting the Owasso First Baptist Church as a Mission church.

She is survived by her daughters, Dayna Reed and husband Bobby of Buffalo Gap, TX, Billye Bultman and husband Robert of Ramona, and Gayla Duncan, of Skiatook; grandchildren, Bill Lincks and wife, Montse, Aundie Clabaugh Dickinson and husband JR, Ricky Clabaugh and wife Michelle, and Rachel Noland and husband, Kodi; great-grandchildren, Blake Noland, Makailyn Clabaugh, Easton Clabaugh and Will Lincks, sister, Shirley Williamson; numerous nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Beverly Kuykendall; step-grandchildren, Cleotia Morrow and husband Eric, and Cody Holcomb; step-great-grandchildren, Melina Camacho, Elijah Rocha, Hailey Morrow, Lizzy Morrow, Audra Morrow, Kaitlin Morrow and Owen Morrow; step-great-great-grandson, Jeremiah Velasquez; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jean; brother, Marion Lee; parents, H.M. and Velma James; husband, William (Billy) Duncan, husband, Kenneth Moon, husband, Leon Shearhart; and grandson, Christopher Burma.
