Tyler James Scheller

Tyler James Scheller of Sperry, OK, was born September 10, 1988, in Bolivar, MO to Stephen Paul Scheller and Brenda Ann (Hobson) Nunn. He passed away August 23, 2026, in Sperry, OK, at the age of 37.

Tyler was a hardworking man who spent many years as a truck driver, a career that allowed him to enjoy the open road and the many places his work took him. While he took pride in his work, it was his family who held the most special place in his heart. Tyler was a devoted husband and father who cherished making memories with those he loved. He especially enjoyed playing games with his children, spending time together as a family, and traveling with his wife, Rachel.

Tyler had a curious and adventurous spirit and loved trying new things. He found enjoyment in cooking, exploring new ideas, flying RC drones, and going fishing. He was also a natural tinkerer who enjoyed working with his hands and building and creating all kinds of things. There was rarely a challenge Tyler would shy away from, and he was always willing to figure out how to make something work.

Above all, Tyler was someone who cared deeply for others. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and was the kind of person people could count on. His generous heart, adventurous spirit, sense of determination, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Tyler leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by his family and friends. His absence will be deeply felt, but the love he gave and the moments he shared will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Scheller of Sperry; children, Anna Hood, Colton Hammond, Chessa Hammond, Chelsie Hammond, Cannon Hammond, and Coleman Russell; his mother, Brenda Nunn; brother, Stephen Scheller, Jr.; sister, LaceyAnne Williams; aunt, Pam Hood; uncle, Mark Hood; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Scheller, Sr.; and sister, Anastasia Brewer.

Family arranged services will be held at a later date.
