Sharon Elizabeth "Shari" French

Sharon Elizabeth “Shari” (Gatchell) French was born March 12, 1947 in Augusta, ME, to Ralph Everett and Madelyn (Fitzgerald) Gatchell. She passed away September 24, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.

Shari was an office manager for many years in the flight safety industry and worked at OTASCO. She loved to play cards, collect dolphin ornaments, and she loved anything with a butterfly. Shari was of the Catholic faith before she met her husband, Chuck; she then converted to Christianity. She loved going to get her hair done at Nancy & Co. hair salon. Shari was a hairstylist herself earlier in life and she maintained her licenses until 2018, even though she was only able to cut Chuck’s hair on a regular basis.

She is survived by her husband, Charles L. “Chuck” French, Sr.; son, Charles Louis “Chuck” French, Jr. and wife, Christy of Owasso; grandchildren, Darbi French, Kayli French and Tyler French; former brother-in-law, Donald “Don” Shackleford of Coweta; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Madelyn Gatchell; father, Ralph Gatchell; and son, James “Jimmy” Shackelford.
