Sharon Sue Ballew

A Celebration of life service for Sharon Sue (Key) Ballew, 75, of Sperry, was held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Bart Crouch officiated and burial was in Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Honorary casket bearers were James Key, Tony Key, Joe Key and Mike Key.

Sharon was born September 3, 1942 in Long Beach, CA to D. Lance and Martha Ellen (Burkart) Key. She passed away April 15, 2018 in Tulsa, OK.

Sharon moved to Sperry, OK at a young age, graduated from Sperry High School in 1960, was away for a time and returned to Sperry in 1984 to be near her parents. She was very proud to be a resident of Sperry. She worked as a bank teller for many years in Turley, OK. She was an avid reader and loved working in the yard. A few of her many talents were painting with acrylics, knitting, and crochet.

She is survived by her nephews, James and wife Carrie and sons Colton and Auston of Republic, MO, Tony and wife Casey and children Jaiden, Noah, Shea’Lee and Liam of Webb City, MO, Joe and daughter Starla of Carl Junction, MO, Mike and daughters Winter and Trinity of Tulsa, OK. uncle, Mayes Key and wife Wanda of Locust Grove, OK, aunts, Jean Crouch and husband Dan of Bartlesville, OK, Rubyane Suirette and husband Andy of Bartlesville, OK and many cousins of whom she shared fond childhood memories. Sharon will be sorely missed by her family and especially by her best friend and precious dog, Sylvie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, D. Lance Key and Martha Ellen (Burkhart) Key, and her brother, Dennis Lance Key.
