Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Wayne Turner Sr., 88, of Broken Arrow, OK, were held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Family Fellowship Church in Berryhill, OK. Pastor Jim Kent, and Pastor Randy Crook officiated, and burial was in Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bristow, OK. Casket bearers were Gary McNew, Logan Lane, Mark Turner, Landon Lane, John Lane, and Andrew Occhuizzo. Honorary Casket bearer was Frank Lane.
Robert, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was born July 16, 1937, in Twin Hills, OK, to Roy Newton Turner and Lola Ione (Roberts) Turner. He passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Bob lived a full and meaningful life marked by kindness, hard work, and devotion to those he loved. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, entering the service on October 9, 1957, and retiring on August 31, 1979, after 22 years of dedicated service.
He will be remembered for his steady presence, warm heart, and the love and laughter he shared with everyone who knew him.
Bob will be deeply missed for his humor, patience, and wisdom, and for the countless ways he made those around him feel valued and loved. He served his country with pride and was laid to rest with full military honors.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lesley Turner; daughters, Cheryl Lane, and Julie McNew and husband Gary; son-in-law, Mark Turner; stepdaughter, Sharon Occhuizzo and husband Andrew. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who adored him, including John and Lacy Lane, Frank and Ashly Lane, Samantha Geiger, and Callie McNew; step-granddaughters, Taylor, Sophia and Amnesty; as well as great-grandchildren Lexi and Ethan, Lily, Landon, Emma, Logan, Maxx, Charley, Jacob, Sophia Pearl, and Rinoa; and many other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wives, Pearl Catherine Turner and Paula Turner; beloved son, Robert “Bob” Wayne Turner, Jr.; parents, Roy Newton and Lola Ione Turner; brother, Michael Turner; sisters, Kathleen Ione Turner and Barbara Ann Turner; and son-in-law, Frank Lane.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
