A memorial gathering of family and friends was held for Oather Dale Anglen, 84, of Sperry, OK, on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Honorary casket bearers were Oather’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Oather was born June 24, 1938, in Gans, OK, to Leonard Euyah and Jennie Lou (Jones) Anglen. He passed away July 4, 2022, in Sperry, OK.
Oather was a concrete finisher for 65 years. He enjoyed fishing, guitar picking and singing, and playing pool (he was the best around). He also enjoyed listening to country music, watching The Price Is Right (he was the biggest fan of the show), and basketball. Everyday Oather enjoyed a hot cup of coffee with two vanilla oreos that he would share with his beloved dog, Taco. He never left the house without Taco and loved his truck.
He is survived by his wife, Faith Anglen; daughter, Patty Anglen; son, Charles Redfern and wife, Amanda; daughter, Darlinda Ervin and husband, Jeff; son, Toby Anglen and wife, Brandie; daughter, Traci Connor and husband, Tony; son, Buddy Anglen and wife, Kristen; grandchildren, Tyelor Redfern, Katie Bullock and husband, Chris, Jack Redfern, Charlee Redfern, Shelley Horn and husband, James, Lane Ervin, Holly Ervin, Coby Ervin and wife, Abby, Taylor Anglen, Rylee Anglen, Maddux Anglen, Marissa Muñoz and husband, Kevin, Tony Connor, Jr. Travis Connor, Jaycee Anglen, Kaylee Anglen, Joyce Anglen, and Amber Burt; great-grandchildren, Chase Anglen, Nana Anglen, Yusuf Burt, Karter Bullock, Reven Horn, Mylah Muñoz, Malik Muñoz, Keaton Muñoz, Konnor Muñoz, and Jaxson Latty; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jennie Anglen; sons, Dale Anglen and Jimmy Anglen; grandson; Tyelor Redfern; five sisters; and three brothers.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
