Funeral services for Naomi Ruth (Stout) Boris, 75, of Broken Arrow, OK were held Friday, April 3, 2020 at Thomas Community Church in Broken Arrow, OK. Pastor Don Couch officiated, and burial was in Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Casket bearers were Naomi’s grandchildren.
Naomi was born October 11, 1944 in Coweta, OK to Vester Errett and Oleta Mae (Watkins) Stout. She passed away March 26, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.
Naomi was a very special lady. She was devoted to taking care of her family. Naomi loved working in childcare and working as a Sunday school teacher in different denominational churches. She raised 5 children and sometimes their friends with an unconditional love. Naomi loved crocheting and working on jigsaw puzzles. Playing scrabble with her sisters online was one thing Naomi talked about all the time. She also enjoyed going to garage sales. Her family thinks that was her Olympic sport passed down from generation to generation. Thrifty shopping was a close second to that. Naomi also enjoyed cooking, baking and feeding you, even when you weren’t hungry. There was always a pie, cake, or cookies that she was making. If you were lucky, Naomi had all three. Naomi loved reading her Bible and listening to anything about Jesus, whether it be Smith Wigglesworth, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Sr., etc. She also enjoyed watching hallmark movies with her niece, Tressa. Family get togethers was probably one of her favorite things.
She is survived by her husband, Chester Boris; daughter, Ladonna Campbell; son, A.J. Boris and wife, Cheryl; daughter, Amanda and husband, Mike; daughter, Jennifer; son, Chris; 14 grandkids; 6 great-grandkids; sisters, Irene and husband, Rick and Paula and husband, Perry; brother, Bill and wife, Sheri; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vester and Oleta Stout; and brother, John Stout.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
