Melinda Sue "Sissy" Quinton
Memorial services for Melinda Sue “Sissy” Quinton, of Sperry, were held Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Sperry Christian Church in Sperry, OK. Reverend Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Honorary casket bearers were Dylan Quinton, Chris Wallace, Tim Lightle, Jerry Lynn Quinton, Chuck Quinton, and Bill Wiford.
Melinda was born December 20, 1967 in Tulsa, OK to Jerry D. and Glenda Kay (Finney) Quinton. She passed away January 22, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 44.
Prior to becoming disabled, Melinda worked for Warren Clinic as a Patient Accounts Representative. She loved watching drag racing. Melinda also enjoyed seeing her favorite band, Sweatin’ Bullets perform live in Tulsa, as well as traveling, going swimming, socializing, facebooking, listening to music and watching her favorite TV shows.
She is survived by her son, Dylan Quinton; parents, Jerry and Glenda Quinton of Turley; sister, Melisha Wallace and husband Chris of Sperry; brothers, Jerry Lynn Quinton of Broken Arrow, Chuck Quinton of Tulsa, and Bill Wiford of Miami; nephews, Jackie Wallace and Wade Wallace, both of Sperry; boyfriend, Tim Lightle of Tulsa; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Perry Gene Finney, Eulah Della Johnson, Edward Quinton, and Nola Howell.
