Funeral services for Mary Rose Lewallen, 80, of Skiatook, were Thursday, Feb. 14 at the First Christian Church in Sperry.
The Rev. Adam Stang officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Sperry, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.
Pallbearers were Shayne Lewallen, Gary Qualls, Garrett Wayne Qualls, Matthew Tyler Helm and Jacob Charlie Weathers.
Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Sanford, Brian Jarvis, Shaylee Michelle Lewallen and Mandy Kelly Lewallen.
She was born on on Aug. 20, 1927 in Turley to Jonathan and Mary Jane (Ecker) Miller. She passed away on Feb. 10, 2008.
She worked in the office at Lew's Trim Shop.She was a former member of Turley Round-up Club and Sperry Christian Church. She was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed painting ceramics. She loved to sew everything, from costumes for the kids to hand stitched quilts.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Lewallen of Glenpool; son, Michael Shayne Lewallen of Tulsa; granddaughter, Lisa Michelle Qualls of Sperry; three great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Charlie Lewallen; sons, David Michael and Frank William "Billy"; and nine brothers and sisters. Family and friends can sign the guestbook at www.johnsonfhsperry.com.
