Linda Joye (Rogers) Gilleland was born June 23, 1948, in Tulsa, OK, to Richard Nelson Rogers and Edris Ilene (Rodgers) Rogers. She passed away June 27, 2026, in Owasso, OK.
Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, generous spirit, tireless work ethic, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her warmth, strength, and servant's heart created a lasting legacy that will continue through the generations she cherished. Linda was known for her strong work ethic throughout her life. She spent many years working alongside her family at Lighting Lube before continuing her career at Reasor's, where she faithfully served for nearly 20 years until her passing. She took great pride in her work and in the relationships she built with coworkers and customers over the years. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she joyfully served her church family in many ways. She volunteered cooking meals at Falls Creek, was an active member of the Grub Grannies, and generously opened her home to host countless youth events and gatherings. Linda found great fulfillment in serving others, always offering a welcoming smile, a warm meal, and a caring heart. Linda had a creative spirit and loved sewing and quilting, collecting stuffed animals, baby dolls, and antiques. One of her greatest joys was using her talent for sewing to bless others. She lovingly made and gifted countless baby blankets and quilts to new parents, creating treasured keepsakes that will continue to wrap future generations in her love.
She is survived by her daughters, Missy Bridgeman and her husband, Joe, of Sperry, and Melanie Winford and her husband, Scott, of Sperry, OK. Linda was a proud grandmother to Lauren Webster and her husband, Dakota of Beggs, Meghan Dickey and her husband, Trey, of Owasso, Josh Bridgeman and his wife, Maranda of Mounds, Erin Winford of Sperry, and Jayden Bridgeman of Sperry. Her greatest title was Granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her great grandchildren are Maddox and Mesa Webster; Judson and Lucy Dickey; and Henley, Jorgen, and Hagan Bridgeman. Each of them brought her immeasurable joy, and she treasured every moment spent with her growing family. She is also survived by her brother Marc Rogers and his wife, Marsha of Tulsa; sister and brother-in-law Jane Swartz and husband, Harvey of Missouri; and her sister-in-law, Debbie Rogers of Tulsa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Gilleland; parents, Richard and Edris Rodgers, her brother, Ricky Rogers.
Linda's life was defined by service, generosity, and love. Whether through her work, her church, her quilting, or simply opening her heart and home to others, she made those around her feel cared for and valued. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. The family appreciates the thoughts, prayers, and support of all who have shared in their loss. In honoring Linda's memory, those who knew her are encouraged to extend the same kindness, generosity, and love to others that she shared so freely throughout her life.
