Lester Lee Sawyer
Lester Lee Sawyer was born May 27, 1932 in Wilson, OK to Olan and Kitty Sawyer. He passed away March 27, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 79.
Lester was a Veteran of United States Navy from June 30,1953 until January 17, 1958. He enjoyed reading his Bible, and other books, fishing, and crossword puzzles. Lester loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Thompson and wife Patricia of Mannford, Johnny Lord and wife Maggie of Broken Arrow, Ron Lord of Osage, Terry Lord and wife Dena of Ramona, Phillip Lord of Tulsa, and Mike Wilkins and wife Elenah of Osage; daughters, Ella Lanham and husband Billy of Tulsa, and Velvet Ermis and husband John of Sand Springs; brother John Sawyer of Tulsa; sister Mary Fortney of AZ; 39 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Tommy Sawyer, and many more nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Sawyer; sons, Jerry Thompson and Donnie Lord; parents, Olan and Kitty Sawyer, and brothers, David Sawyer, Lonnie Sawyer, Ray Sawyer, and Tom Sawyer.
