Nadine overcame a lot in her life, including beating colon cancer at such a young age. Her daughter, Lavona Sue, was blind and she was the first blind person to ever set on a grand jury case. Nadine loved gardening and tending to her roses. she loved to bake, and would call Kristen and say, “I made you and the kids some of Granny’s delicious brownies.” They were the best brownies. Kristen loved listening to her Granny Nadine tell stories of her younger years. She loved her grandbabies, and they are so grateful for the time they got to spend with her before she passed. Nadine had a huge heart, and was a sweet, loving, yet tough and feisty woman. There was never a dull moment with Nadine. She always reminded LaDawna to never make deals with God. She always said, “Just do better, and to love the Lord with all your heart!” She loved the Lord and was a long-time member of the Sperry Christian Church for many years. She was one of kind.
