Larry Eugene Barnes

Funeral services for Larry Eugene Barnes, 73, of Skiatook, OK, were held Friday, October 3, 2025, at Lakeview Church in Skiatook, OK. Reverend Pastor Paul Thompson officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Matt Sanders, Cody Hicks, Floyd Olsen, Matt Pryor, Kevin Morris, and Brian Barnes. Honorary Casket bearers were Terry Neller, Troy Eller, Robert Sutton, Wayne Morris, Dan Rutledge, Bo Rabe, Randy Rutludge, Roy Lillard, Mark Rutledge, Don Barnes, and Floyd Barnes.

Larry was born August 14, 1952, in Tulsa, OK, to Floyd Raymond Barnes and Wanda Mae (Hayman) Barnes. He passed away September 27, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.

Larry worked as an electrician in the construction industry for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or participating in rodeos (in his younger years). Most of all, Larry just loved spending time with his family. Larry’s prayer and hope for all of his family and friends was for them to know and trust Jesus as their Savior and Lord of their lives.

He is survived by his wife, Javada Barnes; children, Lindsey Sanders and husband, Matt, and Ryan Barnes, and wife, Rachel; grandchildren, Bennett Barnes, Nathan Barnes, Elliette Barnes, and Quinn Sanders; brothers, Donald Barnes and wife Janie of Skiatook, Floyd Barnes of Collinsville, Steven Barnes of Sperry, and Terry Barnes, of Sperry; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Wanda Barnes; and sister, Carolyn Teel.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Larry's memory to Lakeview Church, 5265 W. Rogers Blvd Ste. A, Skiatook, OK 74073.
