Memorial services for Larry Dwayne Amberg, 49, of Skiatook, will be held Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Dr. Curtis Linton will officiate.
Larry was born February 19, 1968 in Tacoma, WA to Jack and Marjorie (Keck) Amberg. He passed away August 27, 2017 in Skiatook, OK.
He had several types of jobs over the years from oil field work to landscaping to security. Some of the companies were Securitas Security, Macy's Asset Protection and Global 7. He was involved in several churches over the years and did everything from teaching adults, teens and children, to lawn care, painting and janitor work for the churches. We were currently attending Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Sperry. He was a hard worker no matter what it was; he would give 110% and would do it as unto the Lord who he loved so much. He loved history, coins, old postage stamps, fishing, camping, rummage sailing and doing research on the dolls I repaired. He loved to tell people about Jesus and how great God is. We loved to dance, especially to Glenn Miller's Moonlight Serenade. I could write novels on this precious man, but it won’t all fit on here.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Marie Amberg; brothers, Matt Amberg, Kent Amberg, and Jack Knight; sisters, Becky Coker, Lauryl Pryse, and Wanda Knight; mother, Marjorie Amberg; numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins; step-children, Carly Salazar, Lydia Kimmel, and Jacob Brown; step-granddaughter, Izabella Salazar; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kristie Amberg; and father, Jack Amberg.
