Kenneth Dephane Crase, a beloved member of the Sperry community, passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 89 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born on June 19, 1935, in Lamar, Arkansas to Andrew Jackson Crase and Artie Alice (Gillen) Crase. Kenneth dedicated his life to his work, family, and community, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.
Kenneth was well known for his career as a carpenter and welder, but he was perhaps most recognized as the proud owner of Crase's Feed Store in Sperry, where he built lasting relationships with local farmers and residents. His contributions to the community extended beyond his professional life; he was also deeply involved with youth activities as a 4-H Leader and was an esteemed member of the Masonic Lodge.
On November 4, 1958, he married Della Rhue (Watts) Crase, with whom he shared many cherished years until her passing. Kenneth's family was central to his life.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Kathy Oakley Crase; his granddaughters, Sarah Linsenmeyer and her husband Trey, and Ashley Henderson and her husband Shawn; as well as his great-grandson, Ben Henderson, and great-granddaughter, Caci Henderson. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Crase and his wife Carol, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Throughout his life, Kenneth enjoyed various hobbies, including rodeo, team roping, and coon hunting, activities that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with nature and his community. He proudly served in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his country.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Della Rhue Crase, his son, Noel Crase, his mother, Artie Crase, his father Andy Crase, his sisters Juanita Ruff and Loretta Bowman, and his brother, Lavonne Crase. His passing will be felt deeply by all who knew him, as he was a man of great integrity and warmth, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many.
