Kathy JoAnn (Ellison) Ramsey

Memorial services for Kathy JoAnn (Ellison) Ramsey, 69, of Coweta, OK, were held Friday, September 23, 2022, at Verdigris Assembly of God in Claremore, OK. Reverend Michael Abel officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Michelle McMullen, Sean Palmer, Jr., Casey Powell and Chad Wilson.

Kathy was born July 19, 1953, in Tulsa, OK, to Troy Nathaniel Ellison and Betty JoAnn (Myers) Carr. She passed away September 18, 2022, in Tulsa, OK.

Kathy enjoyed watching the original Law & Order, and British shows, like Downtown Abbey, dancing, kayaking, SeaWorld adventures, and always had to have a fountain Dr. Pepper. She enjoyed spending time with her sister and best-friend Candy. She was a caregiver to all. Any baby would put a smile on her face. Kathy enjoyed adventures with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite part was helping raise her grandchildren, Sean Jr. Candy Jo and Danny.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie Doggett, Greg Palmer, and Julie Wilson and husband, Chad; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; father, Troy Ellison and wife, Jo; brothers, Terry Ellison, and Troy Ellison, Jr.; sisters, Candy McMullen, and Stacy Renaud and husband, Dennis; stepfather, Cecil Carr; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dwight Ramsey and James Tatterson; grandson, Sean Palmer; mother, Betty Carr; brother, Rick Ellison; and sister-in-law, Debbie Ellison.
