Karin Sue Elder

Funeral services for Karin Sue (Moore) Elder, 68, of Collinsville, were held Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Dr. Scott Carlson officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Stephanie L. Elder, Danny R. Moore, Carla S. Mowery, Max R. Moore, Bill Ryan and Robert Campbell. Honorary casket bearers were Dale Elder, Dennis Elder, Jeff Hassell David Lennox, Ron Moore and Fletcher Moore.

Karin was born January 11, 1948 in Tulsa, OK to Denver Ross and Ella R. (Rogers) Moore. She passed away August 26, 2016 in Tulsa, OK.

Karin was an Administrative Assistant for Gallant Background Checks. Most recently she was a baker and was known for her specialty cakes. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Owasso. Karin enjoyed spoiling her family, baking cakes, pastries, and goodies, oil painting and drawing calligraphy. She was always striving to be the best wife, mother, sister and friend. Karin loved all kinds of music; however, the Black Eyed Peas, ZZ Top and Katy Perry were her favorites. She had a heart of gold and was compassionate and loving person to people and animals. Karin would help anyone and loved to laugh until she was on the floor.

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Elder and Carla Mowery; brothers, Danny Moore and wife Lura, David Lennox, Dale Elder and Dennis Elder; sisters, Tuyett Chau, Tina Elder, Sherry Elder and Patsy Graham; nieces, Aspen Moore, Melanie Moore, Kristen Hassell, Marcey Elder and Brooke Harper; nephews, Max Moore, Dakota Moore, Scott Elder, Craig Elder, Jeffrey Hassell and Ryan Stone; cousins, Jacquilen, Jessie, Robert, numerous adopted children; her four legged babies and grand babies; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Elder; parents, Denver and Teeny Moore and Callie and David Elder; brother, Bud Graham; several grandparents, cousins and friends.
