Julia Lee (Dick) Coonce

Funeral services for Julia Lee (Dick) Coonce, 92, of Claremore, OK, were held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated, and burial was in Bixby Cemetery in Bixby, OK. Casket bearers were Travis Coonce, Adam Coonce, Mike Howell, Jared Coonce, David Coonce and Matt Coonce. Honorary Casket bearers were Keith Hays and John “J.P.” Porter.

Julia was born October 24, 1931, in Tulsa, OK, to Foley Francis Dick and Beatrice Pauline (Trude) Dick. She passed away May 3, 2024, in Claremore, OK.

Julia worked at Saint Francis as a dietitian clerk in the 60’s until the mid-70’s. Julia opened a mobile home park in 1979 and ran it till the day she passed away.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Coonce and wife, Beth; brother, Lonnie Dick, and wife, Mamie; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Nancy Coonce; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Coonce; sons, Lloyd Gale, and Martin Donald; daughter, Kathy; parents Foley and Beatrice Dick; brothers Roy, Evan, and Glen; and sisters Rosemay, Colleen, Alberta, Janice, and Vesta.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
