Joyce Hegan

Graveside services for Joyce (Moderau) Hegan, 72, of Lansing, Mich., were Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008.
The Rev. Don Queen officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Sperry, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.
She was born Sept. 7, 1935 in Tulsa to Mille Margarette Miller. She died on Feb. 18, 2008.
She grew up and attended school in Oklahoma and Illinois. She married Charles Hegan in 1954, with whom she moved to Crown Point, Ind., where they raised their four children.
Later, she moved to Glenview, Ill., and Austin, Texas, before moving to Lansing, Ill. in 2005 to be closer to family.
A bookkeeper by training, she helped manage the family businesses as well as a number of accounting related businesses to support her family.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Hegan and wife Vicki of Valparaiso, Ind., and David Hegan of Munster, Ind.; daughters, Cathy Wilhm and husband Jerry of Grand Ledge, Mich., and Nancy Love and husband Brian of Ann Arbor, Mich.; grandchildren, Elyse, Dana, Erin, Andy and Francisco; cousins, Virginia Gatewood of Broken Arrow and John Juby of Owasso.
