Josephine Elizabeth Arehart

Funeral services for Josephine Elizabeth (Roland) Arehart, 84, of Tulsa, OK, were held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Midway Full Gospel Church in Tulsa, OK. Brother Lonnie Duckett officiated, and burial was in Welty Cemetery in Welty, OK. Casket bearers were Jesse Vandever, Kirk Myers, James Vandever, Landon Williams, Gabe Jones, and James Jones. Honorary Casket bearers were Gregory Arehart, Austin Arehart, and all of the grandchildren.

Josephine was born November 21, 1937, in Joplin, MO, to Leonard William and Mary Elizabeth (Summers) Roland. She passed away February 27, 2022, in Tulsa, OK.

Josephine was a housekeeper at St. John Medical Center and Doctor’s Hospital for over 30 years. She married Earl Arehart on October 10, 1954, in Joplin, MO and moved to Tulsa in 1968. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Midway Full Gospel Church in Tulsa. Josephine loved talking about the Lord and would not have a conversation go by without asking anyone about going to church. She loved seeing and hearing about family members being saved and that was very important to her.

She is survived by her 4 children; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Marietta, Betty, and Catherine; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Arehart; son, David Arehart; parents, Leonard and Mary Roland; sisters, Anabelle and Lorene; and brothers, Paul, Virgil, Bud and Lester.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
