John Edward Nelson

John Edward Nelson passed from this life, Saturday, Nov 16th at his home surrounded by family & friends. Johnny was born on January 17th, 1945 in Sand Springs, OK to the late Nathan & Netty Nelson. He lived in Sand Springs most of the years of his life. Johnny’s occupational job was a diesel mechanic, although he was blessed with many trades. He enjoyed working on cars, cooking and anything outdoors; camping, fishing, gardening, spending time with family & watching his grandchildren play. Johnny was known for his sense of humor, which he kept till the very end.

Johnny leaves behind a son, Keith Nelson & his wife Donna of Tulsa; 4 daughters, Angie Nelson & husband Lyle Blakley of Sapulpa, Kim Nicoletti & husband Joe Nicoletti of Wagoner , Kerry Toole & husband Brian Toole of Skiatook, and Angel Slingerland & husband Israel Slingerland of Broken Arrow; 20 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brothers, Albert Nelson of Sand Springs & Robbie Nelson of Missouri; sisters, Cat Dupree of Sand Springs and Mary Lou Ray, and Marie Gainely of California; Ex-Wife & Caregiver, Beverly Simpson of Sperry; and a host of extended family & friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

He was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by all.
