John Ryan Arroyo

John Ryan Arroyo was born June 19, 1976, in Tulsa, OK, to Rose Dawn (Wyer) Haynes. He passed away on September 26, 2026, in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 50.

John worked for many years as a journeyman plumber in the construction industry, and took pride in the work he did, and the life he built for his family. Outside of work, John enjoyed the things that brought him the most happiness—fishing, playing his guitar, singing karaoke, and listening to music. Although he enjoyed many different kinds of music, country music always held a special place in his heart. He was also a devoted sports fan, proudly cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners and the Kansas City Chiefs. John had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh. More than anything, he enjoyed simply being with his family and making memories together. Whether he was casting a line, picking up his guitar, singing along to his favorite songs, watching his teams play, or sharing a laugh with family, John knew how to enjoy the moments that mattered most.

He is survived by his son, Corey Arroyo; daughter, Ashley Arroyo; grandchildren, Aurora Simpson and Koda Jones; mother, Rose Haynes; sisters, Amanda Thompson and husband, Thai, Amber Parker and BJ Sweeney, Judy Henson and husband, Eric, Alexandra Haynes and Zack Warren, Samantha Haynes and Gabe Ortiz, and Jessica Ford; brother, Nick Holycross and wife, Holly; aunt, Cheryl Woodall and husband, Dennis; 11 nephews; 9 nieces; 2 great-nephews; 1 great-niece; step-parents, Mike and Sharon Holycross; step-brother, David Haynes and wife Rasheeda; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Haynes; grandparents, Judy Ann Rutledge, Hugh Roberts, and Forrest and Mary Holycross; great-grandparents, John and Rose Rutledge.
