Graveside services for Jimmie Forrest Qualls, 83, of Sperry, were held Wednesday, March 6, 2019, 2019 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Ed Asher officiated. Casket bearers were Bob Bowman, Calvin Crandell, Jack Forman, Paul Shaver, Joel Maker and Howard Edmonson. Honorary Casket bearers were Ronnie Cunniham, Ralph Williams, Wendell Williams and Jerry Joplin.
Jimmie was born June 07, 1935 in Claremore, OK to Norwood Charles and Velma Susan “Sue” (Orcutt) Qualls. He passed away February 27, 2019 in Skiatook, OK.
Jimmie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having proudly served his country from 1952- 1956. He was an electrician by trade, and went on to start his own business, Qualls Electric around 1972. Jimmie loved his horses and participating in team roping events.
He is survived by his children, Jimmie D. Qualls, Vickie (Qualls) McMillian and husband, Michael; granddaughters, Casey Lunsford and husband, Jimmy, and Holly Green and husband Adam; great-grandchildren, Lily Lunsford, Jackson Lunsford and Piper Green; many nieces and nephews; cousin, Patsy Orcutt; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Gilliard-Qualls; parents, Norwood and Sue Qualls; and sister, Sandra Ramsey.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
