Janna Claire (Hanigan) Huffman passed from this life on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the age of 78, in Tulsa, OK. 5 months and 9 days after losing her husband of almost 60 years.

Janna was born on January 27, 1947, in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of Clinton C. Hanigan and Mary O. (Wilhour) Hanigan. Janna attended school in Sand Springs where she graduated. On May 13, 1965, Janna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Bert A. Huffman and the couple established their home in Sand Springs, OK. Janna didn’t have a paying job, but she worked every day of her life, she was a housewife and mother, caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and even her great-grandchild. She cooked, cleaned, guided and taught. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sand Springs and of the Good Sam Club. Janna and Bert loved traveling, and soon after their retirement, they sold their home and became snowbirds. They loved being in south Texas during the cold Oklahoma winters and being in Oklahoma during the sweltering Texas summers.

She is survived by two children, Denise “D.D.” (Huffman) Jones and husband, Derek of Sand Springs, and Stephen Huffman and fiancé, Angela Hinson of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Ryan Huffman, Stevie Huffman, Megan Rhodelander, Shayla Gonzales, and Haley White; one great-grandchild, Scottlyn White; sister, Merrilyn S. Sailer and husband, Jim of CA; a plethora of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Janna was preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years, Bert Huffman; her parents, Clinton and Mary Hanigan; and her brother, Stephen B. Hanigan of CA.

Arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
