Hassen Forrest "Keg" Sharp

Hassen Forrest "Keg" Sharp, a beloved Army veteran and skilled mechanic, passed away on June 8, 2026, in Tulsa, OK. Born on January 23, 1963, in Russellville, AR, Keg lived a life marked by his passion for speed, camaraderie, and the simple pleasures of life.

Known to many as "Keg," he embraced life's adventures with enthusiasm, always eager to go fast in everything he undertook. His dedication to his work as a mechanic reflected his love for cars and his desire to keep engines running smoothly, a vocation he considered his true calling. Keg’s early years were filled with cherished memories of coon hunting and fishing alongside his father and best friend Tim. These outings fostered a lifelong bond with nature and friendship. When not working or out on an adventure, he enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family, often engaging in lively gatherings and card games — especially if he was on a winning streak.

Keg is survived by his daughter, Tabitha Munn; mother, Winona Sharp; sisters, Elizabeth Appellof and her husband, Daniel, and Sammie Thurman and her husband, Gary; and his aunts, Jennie Haynes and Betty Ann McCammon. He also leaves behind several nieces, and nephews, and an extended family of cousins who fondly remember him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maudie Sharp; granddaughter, Champagne Killer; father, Jimmie Sharp; sister, Alice Sharp; niece, Stephanie Tolbert; nephew, Cody Tolbert; and grandparents, Grandpa and Grandma Sharp and Grandpa and Grandma VanBuskirk.

A memorial service to honor Keg’s life was held on June 18, 2026, from at Johnson Funeral Chapel, in Sperry, OK with Daniel Appellof officiating. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched gathered to celebrate the legacy of a man who loved deeply and lived enthusiastically. Honorary casket bearers were Phillip Tolbert, Nicholas Tolbert, Aaron Tolbert, and BA Pitchford.

"Keg" will be remembered as a loving son, devoted father, cherished brother, and loyal friend. His spirit, marked by a zest for life and a commitment to those he cared about, leaves an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.
