Harold Edward Fark

Harold Edward Fark, 92, beloved by many, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Harold was born on December 17th, 1933, in Raymond, Kansas, to Clara Christina (Byers) Fark and Christian Gerhardt “Chris” Fark.

He was the youngest of four children and was raised on the family wheat farm near Ellinwood, Kansas. He attended school in the Ellinwood and Great Bend areas before tragedy struck the family with the loss of his father in a farming accident. Harold and his mother later moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he attended Wichita east high school and graduated in 1948.

After high school Herald trained as a machinist and tool and die maker. He had a lifelong passion for mechanics and especially enjoyed working on automobiles, taking great pride in caring for his cherished Chevrolet Corvette.

In 1959, Harold married the love of his life, Lula Mae Watkins, in Wichita KS. Together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage and raised four children: Roberta, Mona, Chris, and Lance.

Harold's career led the family from Wichita to Bethany, Oklahoma, in 1970, and later to Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1975. Following his retirement in 1997, Harold and Lula moved to Owasso, Oklahoma, to be closer to their daughters and family.

The couple enjoyed many happy retirement years together until Lula suffered a serious injury and passed away in 2013. Her loss was heartbreaking for Harold. In time, however, he was blessed to find love again with Valma Jean Deason. Valma brought renewed joy and companionship into his life, and her family became a treasured part of his own. Harold and his family were deeply grateful for the love, devotion, and care she gave him, just as he was a blessing in her life.

Harold had a deep love for his family and embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, dancing and square dancing, water and snow skiing, camping, hiking, running 5K's, boating, and especially golfing. He was also an avid fan of football, basketball, and boxing. An active man throughout his life, Harold's adventurous spirit and love of sports inspired those around him.

He is survived by his loving companion, Valma Jean Deason; his children, Roberta Dildine and husband, David Mullen, Mona Keeline and husband John, Chris Fark and wife, Jeanine, and Lance Fark; 9 grandchildren, Brent Dildine, Stacey (Dildine) Tarwater, (Andrea) Keeline Thomas, John Keeline V, Tyler Fark, Nicholas Keeline, Danice (Fark) Richardson, Kaitlyn Fark, and Cody Fark; 12 great-grandchildren, Lexie, Lainey, Baylan, Samantha, DC, Brynlie, Rylee, Haddie, Bentley, Emersyn, Hudson, and Maverick; and many other relatives and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Lula Mae Fark; his parents, Christian and Clara Fark; his sisters, Esther Zimmer and Gertrude Kaitman; his brother, Arlen Fark; and his son-in-law, B.J. Dildine.

Harold will be remembered for his strong work ethic, adventurous spirit, unwavering love for his family, and the kindness and friendship he extended to so many throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services for Harold were held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at First Methodist Church in Owasso, OK, with Pastor Janell Roberts officiating. Casket bearers were Brent Dildine, James “Dubber” Tarwater, Baylan Thomas John Keeline V, Tyler Fark, Steve Richardson, Nicholas Keeline, and Cody Fark. Honorary Casket Bearers were Bill Zimmer and Brad Yates.
