It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Gary Wayne Ready. He was born October 24, 1953, in Tulsa, OK to James Emmett Ready and Cloda Rae (Holt) Ready. He passed away on August 23, 2026, in Sperry, OK at the age of 72 years, 9 months, 30 days.
Gary loved the outdoors and his many friends, and Mountain Man Rendezvous. He loved being outdoors, and was a bull rider, and team roper. He also enjoyed going hunting and fishing, working on various leatherworks projects, motorcycle riding and race car driving. He spent his younger years farming and ranching with his father. He then went to work in the oil fields until he was injured. He enjoyed supporting and watching his girls in their FFA and 4-H endeavors and going on family vacations. Some of his favorites included Roaring River, MO, Red River, NM, and multiple locations in Colorado and the Florida beaches. He also enjoyed Mountain Man Rendezvous and Memorial Day traditions with family and friends at Spavinaw. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Karla Ready; daughters, Jamie Ready and Jenifer Tribble and husband, Garrett; grandson, Max Hughes; aunt, Charlene Ready; brothers-in-law, Rickey Barton and wife, Kimmie, Randy Barton, and Rob Folger and wife, Carol; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cloda Ready; uncles, Ray Ready, Frank Ready, Jr., Earl Ready and Jack Ready; grandparents, Elbert and Ora Holt, Ruth Pearl Holt, and Frank and Marguerite Ready; and father and mother-in-law, Carl and Reba Barton.
