Casket Bearers were Roy Norris, Jody Stahl, Shelby Widowski, Rayson Raye, Charles Harlan, and Trey Boren. Honorary casket bearers were Tony Copeland, Don Carter, Nathan Juarez, and Kenneth Bresneben. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Everett was born November 16, 1936 in Hulbert, OK to Gene and Lecttie Mae (Nicholes) Copeland. He passed away February 9, 2009 in Tulsa, OK.

He was a zone manager for U-Tote-M for over 30 years and hung in there when Circle K took over until he retired. He loved fishing whether he caught anything or not. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends. The more people that were around him, the more people there were to pick on. He was also very proud of the fact that he was in the Air Force for 4 years and some odd number of days that only he could tell you.

Sheila would say to dad, "Hey you old fart" and he would respond by saying "Hey you young fart." People would ask him "Everett, how are you feeling today?" "With my hands" was always his reply, no matter how bad he felt and until the day he passed away. He kept toys at hand by his chair because he loved to see the kids come over and play. He survived everything life threw at him: strokes, surgeries, paralysis, family deaths.

He was a very strong man. In fact, the doctor cried mercy when she told him to squeeze her fingers. He was saved in the 8th grade. He loved his family and he showed it in special ways. He was a member of the Turley Lions Club. He was good friends with Phil and Mr. Gene Johnson. He really enjoyed going to the restaurant in Turley and having coffee with Phil, Gene and many, many others. He always had to have the biggest and smelliest cigar. He wasn't perfect, but he was a people person and people loved him for who he was, imperfections and all. Most of all he was and will always be "dad." The thing that he enjoyed the most was spoiling his wife. Anything she wanted if he could get it for her, he would. He loved her so very, very much and he will be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Copeland; daughter, Sheila Stahl and husband Pete; son, Tony Copeland; granddaughters, Stephanny Copeland, Sunshine Kern, Nichole Copeland, and Krystal Stahl; grandsons, Roy Norris, Jody Stahl and Shelby Widowski; great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy and Betty; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son; Bobby Copeland; daughter-in-law, Martha Copeland; mother, Lecttie Buggs; father, Gene Copeland; mother-in-law, Oma Carter; father-in-law, Wesley Carter; sisters, Thelma, Katherine, Lorene, and Billy; and brothers, Alvin and Jimmy.
