Edith Ann Middleton Cleary

Graveside services for Edith Ann (Anglen) Middleton Cleary, 79, of Bixby, OK, were held Monday, September 20, 2021, at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Elder Charles Rowden officiated. Casket bearers were Robert Spencer, Ethan Hunt, Kip Huddleston, Joshua Watts, Timmy Spencer and Monty Watts, Jr.

Edith was born December 3, 1941, in Sperry, OK, to Leon George and AnnaBelle (Juby) Anglen. She passed away September 15, 2021, in Tulsa, OK.

Edith was a beautician and worked at Skiatook Nursing Home for a time. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and boat rides with her family, as well as playing bingo, going shopping and cooking. One of Edith’s greatest joys in life was raising her two sons and supporting them throughout their various sports adventures. Edith was also greatly involved in her grandchildren’s sporting events. Rodeo life was also very important to Edith and her family.

She is survived by her sons, John Middleton and wife, Raina of Seminole, and James Middleton and wife, Debbie of New Kent, VA; grandchildren, Tonya Hunt, Jonna Hilton, Jamie Lee Auten and husband, Josh, Michelle Garcia, and Kim Shiflett; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Spencer and husband, Curt, Melva Eddings, Gloria Wheeler and husband, Wayne, Buel Anglen and wife, Clara, and Marcy Anglen Barrett and husband, Allan; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tommy Middleton and Herb Cleary; granddaughter, Mandi Middleton; mother, AnnaBelle Anglen; father, Leon Anglen; and brother, George Anglen.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
