Doris Louise Griffith Jones was born January 26, 1934 in Owasso, Oklahoma to Chester W. and Mable (Hunt) Griffith. Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother, and affectionate grandmother. She gained her heavenly crown on September 11, 2025, while surrounded by her family.
Doris was a homemaker and a remarkably talented artist, winning numerous first-place blue ribbons at local fairs. She loved cooking, watching birds, and tending to her beautiful flowers. Doris had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but her greatest love and devotion was to God, then to her faithful husband of 70 years, Frank Jones. One of her greatest joys was attending Tulsa Lighthouse Church of which she was a charter member.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Jones; children Sharon Moore (Robert), Milton Jones (Karen), and Brian Jones (Doretha); grandchildren Caitlin (Kenneth), Megan (Matt), Bricen, JoAnna, Jordin, Spencer, Julie, Ethan, and Makenna; brothers Bill Griffith (Debbie), Don Griffith; sister-in-law Debbie Griffith; and brother-in-law Dave Vester, as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mable Griffith; her in-laws Dexter and Lottie (Huckaby) Jones; brothers Charles Griffith (Joy) and Ronnie Griffith; sisters Barbara Griffith, Carolyn Vester, and Darlene West (Kelly); nephews Jimmy Ray Griffith and Anthony Griffith; and her precious grandson, Dillon Jones.
Her kindness, love for her family, and her faithfulness to God will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
