Donald "Don" Lane

Memorial services for Donald “Don” Lane, 88, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Kevin Coe officiated, and burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Talala, OK. Honorary Casket bearers were Donald “Hoss” Lane, Dillon Lane, Brad Lane, Joe Brewer, Dax Lane, and Ralph Williams.

Don was born March 31, 1933, in Grainola, OK, to Jesse and Anna (Elliott) Lane. He passed away March 18, 2022, in Tulsa, OK.

Don was a hog and cattle rancher and was a longtime supporter of the Collinsville and Vinita stockyards. He also worked on the oil pipeline. He loved to catch catfish in the Caney River. Don loved his kids, but especially his grandkids, and great grandkids. If you knew him, then you knew that Don’s only hobby was making money.

He is survived by daughter, Nicki Stutsman; sons, Brad Lane and Donald Lane; grandkids, Charles McGuire II, Crystal Owens, Dax Lane, Dillon Lane, Heavenly Lane, Shawn Stutsman, Kimberly Bates, Dusty Terrell, Jessica Lane and Ruger Lane; great-grandkids, Violet McGuire, Lane McGuire, Jonathan Person and Ella Person Alisha McDowell, Ashley Quinn, Mallory VanZant, Elizabeth Stutsman, Hailey Stutsman, Audrey Stutsman, Kaitlin Stutsman, and Ezra Terrell; great granddaughter, Isabella Quinn; sister, Opal Olsen; ex-wife, Rita Brown; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet McGuire; father, Jesse Lane; mother, Anna Lane; brother, William “Bill” Lane; and sisters, Magnolia “Maggie” McDonald. Gladys Snyder, Lois Del Priore, Earlene Patterson, and Ovada “Peggy” Heath.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
