Funeral services for Deloris Ann (Carr) Wright, 76, of Glenpool, OK, were held Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Brian Holt, Christopher Rainbolt, David Holt, Stetson Butler, Jamie Holt, Billy Young, David Perry and Brian Holt, Jr. Honorary Casket bearer was Cayden Young.

Deloris was born August 6, 1947, in Maysel, WV, to Wanda June (Carr) Parsons and Senate Parsons. She passed away January 14, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.

Delores loved being outdoors and going camping and fishing. She loved going shopping and collecting items like birds, frogs, and piggy banks. Deloris enjoyed reading a good book, watching horror movies, and westerns. 

She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Holt and husband, Burton of Sapulpa, and Karen Parsons and James McCune of Baltimore, MD; son, Danny Hicks and wife, Tammy of Newton, WV; grandchildren, Misty Jones and husband, Brad of VA, Jamie Holt and wife, Jami Lynn of Sapulpa, Brian Holt and wife, Jessica of Jenks, Lindsey Smith and Stetson Butler of Tulsa, Sabrina Rose Young and husband, Billy of Claremore, Christopher Rainbolt of Catoosa, and Nicole McCune of MD; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great- grandchild; brother, Michael Parsons of GA; sister, Judy Greyhouse of WV; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Sonny” Wright; daughter, Brenda Parris; parents, Senate and Wanda Parsons; sister, Ruby Ford; sister, Brenda Carper; brother, Jr. Parsons; brother, Jackie Parsons; and sister, Cloy Drake.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
