Debbie Stephens-Ficklin, 69, passed away on July 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love. Debbie was a beautiful soul with a servant’s heart who devoted her life to caring for others. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and valued. Her warm smile, generous spirit, and joyful laughter were gifts to all who knew her. Debbie began her career working in department stores, where her natural gift for serving others and building relationships quickly became evident. Throughout her life, she found joy in helping people and believed that even the smallest acts of kindness could make someone’s day brighter. A woman of many talents, Debbie loved expressing her creativity through sewing, crocheting, crafting, and even pottery. She had an incredible green thumb and found great happiness working in her flower gardens. She could bring almost any plant back to life, filling her yard with beautiful blooms that reflected the beauty she carried within herself. More than anything, Debbie cherished her family. She was a devoted mother and an adoring grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. Whether taking a weekend camping trip, riding scenic trains through neighboring states, shopping with loved ones, or cruising to beautiful island destinations, Debbie embraced every adventure with enthusiasm. She was fearless in pursuing new experiences and had a remarkable ability to accomplish anything she set her mind to. Her determination, strength, and adventurous spirit inspired everyone around her. Debbie will be remembered for the way she loved deeply, celebrated life’s simple pleasures, and always putting others before herself. Her faith, compassion, and joyful heart left an unforgettable mark on the lives of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Debbie is survived by her loving daughter, Carrie Boyett and husband, Kelly of Skiatook; her son, Edward Ficklin, Jr. and wife, Whitney of Skiatook; her five beloved grandchildren, Cheyanne Ficklin, Bronson Roberts, Hank Webb, Kylah Hilton, and Joey Ficklin; her brother, Steve Stephens and wife, Kim of Skiatook; her sister, Beth Abbott and husband, Richard of Skiatook; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

She was preceded in death by her life partner, Kenneth Collins; her parents, Bob and Beverly Stephens, and her beloved sister, Sandra “Sandy” Vent.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Debbie’s legacy of love, generosity, and faith will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Clarehouse Hospice House and our Hospice team at Good Shepherd Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort and kindness they gave Debbie during her final days. Their love and support brought peace to both Debbie and our family, and we will forever be grateful.
