Funeral Services for David Rodney "Dave" Sanford, 64, of Sperry were held Thursday, August 22, 2008 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Charles Rowden officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Jim Seago Sr., Berry Carr, Davey Moore, Mike Teel, Jim Seago, Jr., Jerry Bob Seago. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

David was born May 2, 1944 in Litchfield, CT to Clarence and Marie (Carlson) Sanford. He passed away August 18, 2008 in Tulsa, OK.

He was an Osage County Deputy Sheriff and a foreman of Childress Ranch for 29 years. He enjoyed riding horses, roping, going to rodeos and anything that had to do with being a "Cowboy".

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Sanford; sons, Scott "Skip" Bradshaw, Jamie Sanford; daughter, Jessica Layman;step-daughter, Timothia Earhart; grandchildren, Kassie Sanford, Karen Center, Cody Laymon Chase Laymon, Brayden Bradshaw, Katelyn Laymon, Kylie Laymon, Trace Sanford, Kaycee Moore, Logan Moore, Tami Krater; step-granddaughters, Racheal Earhart, Tami Krater; sister, Debbie Martinotti; brothers, Gordon Sanford, Keith Sanford and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marie (Carlson) Sanford, and grandson, Cyle Laymon.
