David Allen Oates

Funeral services for David Alan Oates, 58, of Tulsa, OK, were held Monday, July 21, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Freddy Oates officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Shawn Oates, Vincent Oates, Frank Oates, Mike Hopper, Ricky Oates, and Nate Brown.

David was born August 19, 1966, in Tulsa, OK, to Frank Don Oates and Barbara Jean (Hawkins) Oates. He passed away on July 15, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.

David was a plumber for Hale Plumbing in Tulsa for many years . He loved to rebuild vehicles and other various projects. He was a fun loving, funny jokester, who loved to party and have a good time, riding his motorcycle, singing and playing the guitar. Most of all, David loved his parents dearly and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Shawn Oates; daughters, Sarah Oates and Naomi Brown; 7 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; father, Frank Oates; brothers, Frank Oates, Ricky Oates, and Vincent Oates; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Oates; brothers, Jimmy Oates and Franklin Webster; and his dog, Jack.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
