Charles Henry Wakley

Memorial services for Charles Henry Wakley, 81, of Sperry, were held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Wakley Residence in Sperry, OK. Frank Brummett officiated and Kevin Harrison peformed the eulogy.

Charles was born July 10, 1934 in Hartshorne, OK to Charles Henry and Julia Mae (Brady) Wakley. He passed away November 17, 2015 in Sperry, OK.

Charles was a heavy equipment operator. He helped build the Inner Dispersal Loop and the Keystone Dam. He was also an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his sons, Joey Charles Wakley and wife Jackie, Brian Wakley and wife Monica, daughter, Debbie Veale; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Osborne; brother, Rube Wakley; step-daughter, Rhonda Christmas; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Julia Wakley; brother, Bob Wakley; sisters, “Aunt Sister” and Alma Jean; and companion, Rose Christmas.
