Funeral services for Charlene Telitha Sayre, 71, of Sperry, OK, were held Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Jesse Cloud officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Jesse Cloud, Tyler Earton, Jayson Cloud, Sean Cunningham, Ethan Haas, and Brandon Young. Honorary Casket bearer was Ray Sayre.

Charlene was born May 13, 1954, to Charley Critton Sayre and Ethel Telitha (Romine) Sayre. She passed away February 13, 2026, in Sperry, OK.

Charlene grew up in Sperry and later attended Tulsa Community College and earned two degrees. She worked for Nelson Electric for 13 years, then went on to work for Rockwell International (now known as Boeing) for 17 years. She Roger Tucker “Smokey’s dad), then later remarried to James Cloud “Our dad”. She was devoted to her faith and attended the Lutheran Church in Turley where she was saved and baptized. Charlene loved being there for others, traveling, watching various crime shows, and spending time with her children and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jesse Cloud; daughter, Jonita Cloud; granddaughters, Katy Tucker, Alexis Cloud, and Taylor Cargill; grandsons, Ethan Haas, Jayson Cloud, and Aiden Cloud; great-granddaughter, Ellie Cloud; great-grandson, Braxton Barnett; brother, Lemuel Sayre; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Smokey Tucker; parents, Charles and Ethel Sayre; brothers, Lloyd Sayre, Robert Sayre and Charles Sayre; and sister, Virginia Sayre.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
