Charlene Gladys (Hohenstein) Pierce

Funeral services for Charlene Gladys (Hohenstein) Pierce, 90, of Bixby, OK, were held Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Mike Pierce, Joshua Pierce, Kevin Weigant, Nat Wilkinson, and Charlie Gates.

Charlene was born June 1, 1935, in Wright City, OK, to Sam Bruce Hohenstein and Eva Winnie (Holley) Hohenstein. She passed away on September 23, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.

Charlene graduated from Sperry High School with the class of 1954. She enjoyed going square dancing, decorating for the holidays, loving her grandbabies, and spending time with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Mike Pierce and wife, Annetta of Bixby, Robyn Pierce and husband, Nat Wilkinson of Bixby, and Melinda Gates and husband, Charlie of Bixby; grandchildren, Joshua Pierce and wife, Jaclyn of Sapulpa, Amanda Byers of Bixby, Taylor Weigant and husband, Kevin of Bixby, and Elizabeth Gates of Bixby; great-grandchildren, Charlie Hudson and Graham Hudson, Caleb Pierce, Violet Weigant and Darcy Weigant; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Pierce and husband, Robert.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
