Carl Edward Adams, Sr.

Funeral services for Carl Edward “Eddie” Adams, Sr., 74, of Howe, OK, were held Friday, September 12, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Elder Roger Tracy officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Sam Barlow, Aaron Capell, Kason Capel, Jimmy Evans, Chris Langston, and Dustin Shook. Honorary Casket bearer was Mark Haas.

Carl was born on May 20, 1951, to Jack Louis Adams, Sr. and Juanita Marie (Weathers) Adams. He passed away September 5, 2025, in Howe, OK.

Eddie was a Sargeant at the North Tulsa Aviation Division. He was also a prop and rotor mechanic for the Army Air National Guard of Tulsa and worked on Black Hawks for many years and retired doing so. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Eddie enjoyed traveling and his passion for old cars and going to various car shows, going trout fishing and panning for gold. He left this world with his dog, Polar Bear by his side..

He is survived by his daughter, Pennie Barlow and husband, Sam of Wister; grandchildren, Shelby Smith of Sapulpa and Paige Capell of Wister; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Adams; son, Carl E. “Bo” Adams, Jr.; parents, Jack and Juanita Adams; and brother, Jack L. Adams, II.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
